Tooth enamel, finger nails and bones .these things living or dead?
Did you know that when a person dies, their fingernails and hair keep growing. Now the bones, I know that the bone marrow dies, I don't know about tooth enamel.Tooth enamel, finger nails and bones .these things living or dead?
I would have to say that this is like hair. The part you see is actually dead...but the root is the actually living part as it grows.Tooth enamel, finger nails and bones .these things living or dead?
Finger Nails-Dead
Tooth Enalem- Alive, not sure
Bones-a.Bone marrow-alive with stem cells
b. superficial side of the bone-calcium deposits-dead
ALIVE.
A tooth is composed of four dental tissues: enamel, dentin and cementum, which are hard or calcified, and pulp, which is soft or noncalcified. The visible part of the tooth is called the crown. It is made of enamel, an extremely hard, non-living substance. Because it contains no living cells, tooth enamel cannot repair damage from decay or from wear. Only a dentist can correct these conditions.

and i think finger nail and bones are nonliving.
the things that are on the outside of your body are dead. Thus the tooth enamel and nail. Because cells cannot surive without water surrounding them. They are not plant cells and have no cell wall to protect them.
But a bone is part dead and partly alive. The calcium deposit part is dead, but bone marrow is alive.
But this is all assuming we can all define what alive is.
tooth enamel-dead
finger nails-dead
bones-living
enamel is simply a covering and thus is not alive. Fingernails are dead cells that have been harden and pushed forward by growing cells underneath. Bone is a type of tissue that has a blood supply and repair/remodeling system so it is alive.

it a bit hard to tell because the pic is not clear.I have the worst nails possible. How long will they take to grow back? The enamel is damaged.?
Nails do not have 'enamel' on them unless you apply itin the form of a polish. But it is not part of the natural nail.
Many people have that. In the mean time you should buy nail growth and stregnthenerhair dryer

Artificial nails/Dental Enamel?
I suspect that dental enamel was used on my artifical nails.I soaked them for 1 and1/2 hours in 100% acetone, they still did not come off? Any solutions to remove them? I am looking for something to dissolve it, I have tried sandpaper, paint thinner, and filing......Any ideas?ThanksArtificial nails/Dental Enamel?
Your out of luck. Anything that would remove the enamel would also destroy the nails as well.

Nail polish as theatrical tooth enamel...?
I want to black out my two front teeth for Halloween. Is it safe for my teeth to use black nail polish, or is there some special formula that is different in the ';real'; costume fake tooth enamel?
I realize this is silly, but so am I. Thank you for all serious and non-demeaning answers.Nail polish as theatrical tooth enamel...?
not only would it taste terrible but it's dangerous!!
the fumes from the nail polish should not be inhaled (considering your mouth is so close to your throat!)
also.. even if you keep your mouth open until the polish dries... some of it (in liquid form or as little flakes) will end up going down your throat which is NOT healthy! there are so many chemicals in nail polish..
DEFINITLY just go by the formula that is MADE to be put in the mouth!
p.s. this is not a stupid question... it's kind of creative you would think to use nail polish = ]Nail polish as theatrical tooth enamel...?
Im sure it would taste awful and could stain your real teeth. Ive seen the tooth black out stuff and it was only 2.99 at PartyCity.
Id stick with the items that are meant to be in your mouth.
